Youlo Pages reflects the vital new voices in the healthcare community, particularly outspoken champions in elder care, palliative care, hospice care and therapy, who are calling for a new openness around death and life issues. They appreciate the value—to individuals, their families and communities—of affirming life through shared understandings—and providing platforms for people to simply, openly say, “This is who I am. This is what I want.”

Youlo Pages

  • reflects new research on memory and how people rely on “repositories” (both physical and online) to store and retrieve information over time.

  • is inspired by pioneering practices in healthcare that emphasize the dignity of each patient. As well, it draws on recent research in which hospice and elder care professionals unanimously agree that personal legacy planning can have positive health impacts.*

  • aligns with research findings that preplanning provides immeasurable peace of mind and takes a huge burden off friends and family.*

  • was developed with insight and assistance from professionals in healthcare, insurance, funeral, financial planning and law, as well as leaders of a wide range of faith communities and the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute (YEI).

  • grew out of a memory of a kitchen conversation over half a century ago. She said, “Make sure to play Mozart.”

"My clients and I develop long-term plans for retirements, investments and future. In the process, we often find ourselves talking about their legacies, what they'd like to be remembered for and how they'd like their lives to be celebrated. I've often wished that there were a tool, a book of some kind, that would provide my clients with a respectful, personalized way of looking ahead, telling their stories, bequeathing gifts and making plans. That's why I'm so excited about Youlo Pages. I think it's going to make a huge difference in a lot of lives."

—Robert Hurley, financial planner/investment advisor, Investor Resources
